Book Review: Joyful Surrender

This is a guest review by Lisa Kidder.

Joyful Surrender by Elisabeth Elliot, introduces you to 7 Disciplines for the believer. She uses scripture and personal stories to help you; discipline your mind, body, possessions, time, and feelings; overcoming anxiety; changing poor habits and attitudes; trusting God in times of trial and hardship and letting Him have control in all areas of your life.

Joyful Surrender, originally published in 1982, with subsequent publishings, is well worth the read. In about 150 pages she leads you through many struggles facing Christians today.

Each chapter will take you into your own walk, to evaluate what your faith should look like and make you ponder on what that looks like scripturally, as we are called to obedience.
